Violette Tucker & Misha Kaschock/The Test Pilots

The Test Pilots are Violette Tucker and Misha Kaschock, creators, directors, performers, composers, dance-makers of a cerebral-visceral blend. They research and redefine their art through experiments in music composition, movement invention, and new techniques of performance. The Test Pilots claim there are rules and no rules; we choose the line we tread. The experiments they conduct serve a dual purpose: to ride a personal edge of creative thought and action, and to create art that probes and tugs at the psychic web that connects us all.

Violette Tucker is a dance artist, teacher, and performance coach who explores movement and artistry through integration of body and intellect. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where she earned a Master of Fine Arts degree, with an emphasis on Dance Performance. Her choreographic work demonstrates her equal valuing of movement invention, composition, and performance. Her influences include contemporary dance, avant-garde performance, gritty, joyful expression, phenomenology, poetry, and everyday, habitual movement. Violette has been coaching movement artists and teaching Ballet for 10 years.
